The du Ponts, who were a prominent family of Delaware, were devoted patrons of the arts and dedicated conservationists.
- Winterthur: Take in the vast acreage of the beautiful gardens and what is considered the most influential museum of American decorative arts, completely amassed by Henry Francis du Pont.
- Nemours: The home of Henry’s cousin, Alfred I. du Pont. 222 acres of garden and home stand next to the internationally known pediatric hospital, A.I. DuPont.
